Step 2 — Sign in to the Splashtop Business app

  1. Open the Splashtop Business app you just installed.
  2. Sign in with your Splashtop account using your work email address.
  3. If this is your first time:
    • Use the invitation email to set your password, or click Forgot your password? and enter your work email.
    • Complete Splashtop’s built-in two-factor authentication (2FA) if prompted.
  4. Device verification: On a new computer, Splashtop sends a verification email with a confirmation link. Open the email and click the link to approve this device.

Step 3 — Connect to your work desktop

  1. Your work desktop should appear under Computers (the Splashtop Streamer is deployed by IT).
  2. Double-click your desktop to connect.
  3. If Splashtop shows an “Enter credentials” prompt before connecting:
    • Username: your work username or email address.
    • Password: your work account password.
    • Click the small arrow to reveal hidden fields.
    • Domain: enter the domain provided by your IT team (if required).
    • Optional: check Save credentials so you won’t need to re-enter next time.
  4. When the remote session shows the Windows sign-in screen, sign in with your standard work account using password authentication.

Good to know

  • Leave your office PC powered on and connected. Lock it when you leave, rather than signing out.
  • Saving credentials: In Splashtop’s “Enter credentials” dialog, expand hidden fields and enable Save credentials to streamline future connections.
  • Multi-monitor: Use the Splashtop toolbar to switch displays or view all.
  • Ctrl+Alt+Del: Splashtop toolbar → ActionsCtrl+Alt+Del.
  • File Transfer / Remote Print: Available from the toolbar if enabled by your IT team.

Troubleshooting

I didn’t get the Splashtop device verification email
  • Check Inbox and Junk/Spam for an email from Splashtop.
  • Click the link promptly; it expires after a short time. If it expired, sign in again to trigger a new email.
  • If you still don’t receive it, contact your IT support team.
I don’t see my computer in the list
  • Ensure your office PC is powered on, connected to the network, and not signed out.
  • If it still doesn’t appear, the Streamer may not be assigned to you—contact your IT support team.
Splashtop keeps asking for Windows credentials
  • In the “Enter credentials” box, click the arrow to reveal the hidden fields and ensure the Domain and Username are entered as instructed by IT.
  • Enable Save credentials before connecting.
Audio, printing, or file transfer issues
  • Use the Splashtop toolbar settings during a session.
  • Reinstall the Splashtop Business app from this page to ensure you’re on the latest version.
