History:

In 1972, Scott Lukins, a tax attorney, and Eugene Annis, a litigator, agreed to merge their tax and litigation practices. Beginning their new firm with 8 lawyers and 12 staff, rapid expansion and additional mergers followed. Today, we serve the needs of a wide variety of individuals, businesses, and public entities from our main office in Spokane, Washington and fully staffed branch offices in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and Moses Lake, Washington.

This year, L&A is celebrating 35 years of service to our clients and to our communities. With 38 attorneys and 39 staff members, we provide our clients counsel in a variety of practice areas, including business and tax, corporate, and litigation matters. While we represent national and international clients, our primary service area is regional--extending from the Puget Sound area into Montana and from Canada into Oregon.

Lukins & Annis has proudly mentored its members to have strong leadership skills. We go the extra mile. The internal development of our attorneys has afforded many of our past members to become judges, U.S. attorneys, and adjunct professors for Gonzaga University Law School.

Firm governance is composed of an five-person Board of Directors elected by it's partners. The President, Jed W. Morris, manages the day-to-day operations with the assistance of our Firm Administrator, Chuck Teegarden, and an administrative staff.
