Jonathon, (J.D.) Hallin is an Associate in the Coeur d'Alene office of Lukins & Annis, P.S. His practice areas include business litigation, commercial law, and criminal defense.

J.D. has extensive experience in the various aspects of criminal law, including misdemeanors and felonies. He has appeared before the Idaho Court of Appeals and the Idaho Supreme Court.

Before joining Lukins & Annis, J.D. practiced civil and criminal law with an Idaho firm and later started his own practice. He has had two published opinions, which resulted in significant clarifications of Idaho law. J.D. was appointed as co-counsel in a homicide trial which resulted in being named to the Idaho Supreme Court's Roster of Qualified Capital Defense Counsel as approved "Trial Co-Counsel."

J.D. is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the American Bar Association and the Idaho Trial Lawyers Association. He is a member of the Idaho Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and was a co-recipient of the 2008 Gargoyle Award presented by that body. J.D. has been very active in the community since he began practicing law, primarily focusing on his involvement with Rotary International.

J.D. was raised in Longview, Washington and enjoys running, mountain and road biking, rock climbing, downhill and Nordic skiing, and hiking.
