Wayne Sweney Named Distinguished Lawyer by Idaho Bar

Lukins & Annis is pleased to announce that our own Wayne Sweney has been selected to be one of the Idaho State Bar's Distinguished Lawyers for 2011. The Board of Commissioners of the Idaho State Bar noted in their letter to Wayne, "It is our belief that you well-exemplify the qualities and attributes that denote those distinguished practitioners who have received this recognition."

The Bar will present this award to Wayne at the Distinguished Lawyer Dinner during the ISB Meeting, at a special dinner which will be held on July 13th at the Sun Valley Resort.

Wayne received his undergraduate degree from Drexel University, and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Maryland in 1974. After establishing a successful practice on his own, Wayne merged with Lukins & Annis in 1987. He has published a number of articles on bankruptcy and commercial law including "An Analysis of the Buyer's Security Interest under UCC Section 2-711(3) and the Secured Party's Remedies under UCC Section 9-503 under the Consumer Conditional Sale Contract" (Commercial Law Journal, Summer 1992, Vol. 97, No. 2.)

Wayne has been the recipient of other awards and honors and continues to serve his community by being a member of the Board of Trustees for the Museum of Northern Idaho.

His advice is highly sought after by financial institutions and he is also the Branch Manager of our Coeur' d'Alene office. Lukins & Annis extends its warmest congratulations to Wayne for receiving such a prestigious award.
