Paul Davis is a principal in the firm. He focuses his practice on business and commercial real estate matters—assisting clients with the formation of companies, equity and financing transactions, real estate transactions, sales and leases of personal and real property and other general business matters. Paul serves on the boards of directors of the Fairmount Memorial Association, which owns and operates a number of regional cemeteries, and Academics are Cool, which conducts student math competitions throughout the State of Washington.

Paul has assisted clients with multimillion dollar commercial real estate transactions and developments, such as the expansion of the Spokane Convention Center, as well as the negotiation of significant financing packages, tenant-in-common structures, employee and independent contractor matters, mergers and acquisitions, securities sales, licensing arrangements, and a multitude of other types of business transactions. He advises physicians and other medical industry providers regarding Stark laws, HIPAA and the recently-enacted HITECH amendments.

Named by Washington Law & Politics as a “Rising Star” in 2003, 2004 and 2005, and selected for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in America in 2008 and 2009, Paul strives to learn his clients’ business and provide outstanding value. His publication and seminar topics contain empowering “self-help” information for business owners regarding financial reporting, commercial leasing, business organization and small claims.

Paul graduated from Pomona College with a B.A. in Economics and Philosophy and subsequently obtained his J.D. and M.B.A. at the College of William & Mary. While at William & Mary, Paul was a member of the Law Review and was the Managing Editor of the William & Mary Bill of Rights Journal. He served on the firm’s Board of Directors for a number of years and recently acted as the firm’s Chief Financial Officer. When circumstances permit, he enjoys a round of golf and time with his family.
