Janet works as a litigation and estate planning generalist. Her work includes preparing documents for filing with the courts, chronologies for medical and personal injury cases, and setting up and indexing notebooks for mediations, arbitrations, settlements, and trials, as well as drafting and preparing Wills, Codicils, Durable Powers of Attorney, Health-Care Directives, and other estate planning and gifting documents. Janet's technology background showcases her abilities in developing and maintaining large databases and spreadsheets, in producing documents and materials on CD, as well as to organize, categorize, and retrieve documents in a variety of software applications to support attorneys in their casework.

SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE

Janet began working in the legal industry as a word processing operator in 1973 and as word processing supervisor/applications trainer for L&A in 1977. She has provided training for attorneys and staff in a variety of software applications, including Word, Excel, Publisher, GroupWise, Summation, and Trial Director. Additionally, she has overseen the maintenance and upkeep of the firm's Forms Bank and document templates.

With her rich knowledge in our systems and applications, Janet has just recently moved from the production side of the firm to where the "action" is - creating documents and working directly with our attorneys in their case development efforts.
